Good Morning,

Another week begins. Let's go. We can't stop it but we can change it. I don't mean we can make tomorrow Friday, but we can make it better. I attended a classic car show on Saturday and it was amazing where those owners had taken those cars from and the end results. There were missing parts, broken parts, rust holes, and dilapidation in general from some of the pictures that the car owners had that showed where they started from in their restoration projects. Wow what changes they had made with new parts, new metal in place of rusted out metal, body filler in creases and cracks, primer, new paint and great end results. Restored. A common word in the classic car crowd. Also a great word for what God desires to do to us and for us. He wants to put us back into the "made in His image" condition. Back to original specs. His specs. Let Him. Have a super Monday.

Please continue to lift up the Walters family today. I will send out funeral details as soon as possible but I don't plan to bother the family today as they have gone many weeks without much rest. Also, lift up Liz Peddy as she prepares for back surgery on Wednesday morning.

Tomorrow night is the Grayson Center Gospel Night. We need you to be there as we need a large crowd to make sure to please the Harris County folks as they are having to make cuts everywhere and the cuts in these types of events will be determined by the number of people that are affected. It is at 7pm. We also need a few more sandwich maker volunteers. Please contact Donna at the church office today or tomorrow morning. Thanks.

Wednesday Night Family Meal is barbecue chicken and links, baked beans, potato salad, watermelon, etc. at 6pm and then Bible Study at7pm.

Self-pity is one of the most unhappy and consuming defects that we know. It is a bar to all spiritual progress and can cut off all effective communication with our fellow man because of its demands for attention and sympathy. It is an odd form of martyrdom, which we can not afford. In other words, it is very dangerous, so beware.

See you later, love, ken
