Good Morning,

The Astros have won one in a row. Basketball is over and football is on strike. Maybe I will finally learn the rules of soccer. Or maybe badminton. We will not break a heat record today as it will only be 100 degrees. Summer begins in about a week. Aren't you glad? The cotton is dead and the catfish may be also, so we can't sing the summertime song. There was a debate last night. Or a least that is what it was called. Their definition of debate and my college speech professors' definition seem very different. I may vote for Gingrich as his wife looks pretty good, but she always has one end of a rope in her hand - the other end is tied to a ring in Newt's nose. I had an uncle named Newt. He lived in Oklahoma City. I've never been as cold as I was the day we buried him. I haven't seen it sleet sideways since that day. There is nothing to block the wind in Oklahoma except barb wire fences. And we told some of our Native Americans it was a great place for a reservation. They got the last laugh, though,  when that black stuff was discovered under their teepees. And the next thing you know, ole' Tonto is a millionaire.  Oh, home on the range where the deer and the oil derricks stand. That's when we learned to drill more horizontal than vertical. Rules? They are for somebody else. Let's go to Greece on a  yacht, honey. Nobody will ever know. Have a great Tuesday. Monday is history.

A week from today is Grayson Center Gospel Night with Men of Praise and Legacy of Grace. Equal opportunity  Gospel night. One all male group and one all female group.
Today is flag day. If you got it - fly it.

You load sixteen tons and what do you get? Tired.

I saw Dr. Cooley at St. Luke's this morning. He was in a wheelchair but I'm sure it was him.

I also saw Betty Moore there and she is doing better and will possibly come home tomorrow. Joyce Smith left me word yesterday that she does not have any definite word yet on her situation.

You may feel like you are in the valley of the shadow of death some days. Take heart. There can't be a shadow without a light. Find the light. Focus on the light. Leave the darkness.

   See you later, love, Ken
