Good Morning,
Humpty dumpty day. Yes, my fine-feathered friend it is Wednesday. We got 11 drops of rain at the church yesterday. Maybe more today as it is already cloudy. Even the Katy rich kats had a wild fire yesterday. Like Zsa Zsa said, "Just give me 5th Avenue." No wild fires there. So. if you must barbecue please do it inside. Nothing like a house that smells like barbecue sauce. I love the smell of barbecue sauce in the morning. That beats napalm. What kind of crazy dude ever came up with napalm. Probably some kid who liked playing with matches and he found a can of gasoline. Gasoline is really cool when you pour it onto a pond and it floats and you light it. So I've been told. If you float some bread crumbs in it and the tame ducks come for them before you light the gasoline it's even better, I hear. Then you light it. Those ducks eyes get really big before their mind tells them to fly, stupid, the water is on fire. That's what I hear any way. There is a WANTED poster with my picture on it on the wall at the SPCA. No animals lives were lost in this experiment. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. There is a family of ducks a little south of here area that have been known as the short tails for many years, though. Fly, Forrest, fly. Quack, quack. Jenni, I love you. Have a great Wednesday.
Yesterday we had 87 students and about 60 workers on site here at the Kickin It Old School Vacation Bible School. Keep praying for us. If it keeps raining my class and I are going to play in the rain for one of our activities today.
Tonight's menu is chicken fingers, cream gravy, mac and cheese, green beans and potatoes, broccoli, salad, potato soup, etc. That's at 6pm and then Bible Study at 7pm.
These forest fires going on across our country for the most part have been started with very little effort. Starting "wildfires" with our tongues requires very little effort, too. Rumors, half-truths, grumblings, sarcastic remarks, hurtful things said in the heat of anger - all of these smoldering matches have the potential for burning down acres of office morale, family peace and church unity. Keep a reign on those hot lips so they don't spark a fire.
See you tonight, love, ken
