Good Morning,

Mid-week again, already. Wowee zowee. Thanks veterans for risking your lives, leaving your families and serving our country. By the way, if you want to be buried in the Houston National Cemetery - a place that your service earned you - your brother, your pastor, your rabbi(that's for you Bob), your service buddies, your wife, your kids - nobody - can say God Bless, he was a man of God, God's peace be with you. The new director is the God police or something like that, I guess. Okay, so there is a $11.00 charge for the extra bugle player. Oops, my money says God on it somewhere, is that a problem? Wait, I have some Canadian coins with a picture of De Gaulle(sp?) on them. Speaking of gall, did you say I can't say God when I bury my loved one? Which constitution did you not read? Some old guys from the VFW are having a July 4 barbecue and Ms. Director you are on the menu. Rest easy, they will say grace before you are devoured, though. From the halls of Montezuma, to the plains just west of 45. Directors away my friend, directors away. There she goes into the wild blue yonder flying high, high as the sky. Yeah, just try to tell ole Sarge he can't say God when he lays his first lieutenant to rest who drug his rear end out of the swamps of Nam or laid in a muddy ice-cold  fox hole for months in Korea beside him and kept him from going nuts. It may not be pretty. Sarge may make Lieutenant Dan look like a pansy as he drop kicks you through the goal posts of life, director person. Oops, I can't use that song lyric reference because that leads me to "Lord, Help me Jesus" and we can't say that in the presence of deceased veterans. What country is this?  I've got to quit reading the morning newspaper. Have a great Wednesday. God Bless America. Land of the Free, Home of the brave. God Bless Our Veterans. Rock on Vets. Take some names, you've already done the first part.

Speaking of food, we will have beef tips and gravy and noodles and green beans and corn and salad tonight at 6pm with Bible Study at 7pm as we continue our trek through Romans. How about joining us?

Saturday is the day. Whitehorse Motorcycle Rally. 10am-3pm. You don't wannt to miss this!!!

Please pray for Jim Peddy as he is having back surgery right now at St. Luke's. I just left there and I am over at Methodist now. Will head to Baytown in a little while and check on Patty Walger, Lois Weeks and the Lowery clan.

I've got to tear down my soap box and that will take a little while, too, so I better run.
See you later, love, ken
